Our Italian class will transport you to the heart of Italy where we will take you step by step through a range of classic favourites prepared with authenticity. You will learn how to make fresh pasta from scratch and cook it to perfection, accompanied by a rich tomato sauce. Master the art of creating flawless risotto, where the skill to perfection is in the hints and tips to getting stock technique right. You will then use the leftovers (if there are any!), to make the new hot favourite Italian street food – delicious arancini.
We’ll start by exploring all the specific fresh herbs used in Italian cuisine why they are used as well as the significance of seasonal ingredients to create authentic Italian cuisine. You’ll then be making an array of dishes which will embrace the joys of cooking with garlic, fantastic olive oil, fresh buffalo cheese and cured meats. You’ll also make your own pizza dough and pizza from scratch the authentic way.
